Micki Uppena is a K-12 Library Media Specialist in Lancaster, Wisconsin who believes that relationships are built with students through books and risk-taking. She is a member of WEMTA, the Nerdy Book Club, and the Schreiner Memorial Library Board of Trustees. Micki challenges herself to model life-long learning through technology, travel, and literature!

Students craft and make things as they find resources, books, and YouTube videos to help them on their journey.
Great libraries celebrate learning and fantastic experiences.
Technology is used, but relationships are central to the great library.
Building and inventing happen in the library
Students are part of exciting experiences like Breakout EDU boxes.
Pretend and play is an important part of learning and sharing in the library.
Micki says green screen is one of the most important things for a modern library to have.
