Why You May Not Be Able to Claim Your Facebook Page Username Come Saturday
OK< after all the hooplah about being able to claim a special username for your page -- the fine print says you have to have 1000 fans on Facebook to claim your name. This seems a bit high to Mashable and to others. Oh well, facebook is, well facebook.

Goodreads | Educator Book Club
OK, I've been toying around with Goodreads, a website that so many librarians have recommended to me. Thus far it looks a bit like blippr although perhaps easier to use. Enjoying it so far. This particular group seems to be for educators.
So, this seems to be a growing social network for higher education and shows people registered by college. This is interesting. It looks like it has the ability to network people based on research interests!
