Teacher Morgan Toal shares the powerful writing project that she calls the “Thank You Project” – what a great way to be kind and considerate and teach writing at the same time! This is a fantastic project to consider around Thanksgiving, at the end of the school year or something you could do throughout the year at certain times to promote gratitude all year long. You could expand this to include parents and others within the student’s daily sphere of influence. Kindness and consideration of others is something we should teach as part of social-emotional learning as well as writing.
