This page has a LOT of my wiki resources on it. Presentations, videos, and the k12 online tutorial that is still pretty current.
Posterous - The place to post everything. Just email us. Dead simple blog by email.
So, you never think your teachers will blog. Don't worry. Just have them send an email to post@posterous.com -- they will be replied with a website made automatically with their email. They can then just email it from then on and it updates automatically.
Don't tell the teachers but they ARE blogging. Shhhh! Just say it makes a cute website they can customize. Tell them it is a blog at the end of the year!
This is from Doug Belshaw aka Mr. Amazing in my book. I learn so much from him!Another microblogging site that is gaining notice. I'm happy w/ twitter, plurk, blipr - each for different things.
Cool Cat Teacher - Thursday's presentation about cool tools in my classroom this year.
Information about Thursday's presentation -- there will also be streams that you can listen to if you don't make it into Second Life.
This is a cool free PD opportunity and you'll get to see me learn something VERY new!Doug Belshaw is encouraging his teachers to use posterous to communicate to students and parents. Literally, they send an e-mail to posterous and it creates a blog automatically for them. This is an example of a PE teacher.
Now this is cool. DON'T teach teachers how to blog - use something they already know, email and just have them email it instead. Now how is that for a great idea!
