The edubloggers group is a pretty active one on Linked In. I used to moderate this group but opened it up in February for anyone to join. Right now the flipped classroom discussion is the most active conversation as people talk about tools.

Band of heroes fan fiction - Creating and sharing new writing
This website is a fanfiction program for secondary students. This may be a fun activity for summer.It is based on the "band of heroes" framework. I think that more fanfiction type activities will arise.
