You can now share files through Facebook groups. Of course, these groups will now become hubs for all kinds of interesting activity. (Limewire? Kazaa?) I have to wonder if Facebook realizes what they are about to do or if they just want the traffic.

New App Links Students and Teachers on iPads -- THE Journal
Apps like Nearpod, the new iOS app that helps teachers send media to student devices, will just increase. We need ways for teachers to send content and receive feedback. Meanwhile many apps say that parents and teachers aren't asking for any learning analytics. I don't know who they are talking to but that is one thing teachers need.

Here is a lovely set of resources for educators, parents, and students to create an awareness of the needs of deaf students and how to meet those needs in the classroom. I had a deaf uncle and learned sign language and it has served me well when it was necessary in my life. Younger students often enjoy signing songs - it adds such a rythmic beauty. Here are some great resources. Consider having students sign songs and speeches in your next assembly.
