  you guessed it --- GOOGLE! Who has a license to print copyrighted books that are no longer in print. Only open in the US for now. This is an important article from the NY Times for those involved in authoring and publishing books. Stay tuned.

• Windows Privacy: Windows 7's New Geolocation Service Introduces Privacy Problems

  According to this story:
  
  "Windows 7 has a new system-wide service that will offer very easily accessible geographical location services for all devices and programs. Unfortunately, their implementation seems half-baked in the security front, opening the door to privacy problems that even Microsoft program manager Alec Berntson didn't have a convincing answer for. What is worse: They don't plan to fix them for the final release."
  
  Geolocation services have great uses but we should have a choice!

• Art: Wiimote Wheelchair Helps Disabled People Paint (Roughly Speaking)

  Disabled people can now paint with a wiimote wheelchair. This is cool and opportunities for disabled to contribute are just beginning.
  
  I wonder what this would do in schools with children who are developmentally challenged.

• In Florida, virtual school could make classrooms history

  A new law requires every district to set up an online school for grades K-8th grade. I'm just curious about a few things -- why the arbitrary selection of ages? I'm not sure that virtual education is a good idea for k, 1, 2 -- would need to be convinced. To me, it has great application for high school -- but yet high school isn't part of it.
  
  Many virtual classes I've seen are NOT well constructed and the online teachers aren't accessible. The teacher must be there while teachers are learning. Just have a lot of ideas here but questions too!
